Randomness`

May I survive the morning with her leading the class… I’m feeling the jitters. Yikes.

May she lead me through the morning too, and that she takes initiatives to ask me questions. Because I do not know or think I should tell her what to do. After all, I am only but an assistant. :S

Wish me luck!

KL Getaway

Ahhhhhh… It’s great to have a short getaway. I really needed to get out of town after all that I’ve been through.

In order to avoid the Hari Raya jam at the checkpoint, we left home at an unearthly hour at 4am exactly and arrived in KL at 710am. Pretty fast drive I’d say…

In the darkness, we saw a man fully suited with LED Lights on himself and his motorbike. It was such a sight! Cars were lining up to snap a photograph of him.

You’ll never lose your way with him around.

Cars slowing down just to get snapshots of him.

It was my first seeing tunnels in Malaysia. I thought only small countries would have such stuff. Initially, i thought it was a express tunnel for card holders who pay toll fee using ‘Touch n Go’ cards. Apparently, it’s a flood tunnel.

Thankfully, the occupancy rate at the hotel wasn’t full, hence we were allowed an early check-in for our hungry tummies! Continental Breakfast cost 55RM+. Food was OKAY. Well, passable for a picky eater like me. The beef bacon was cooked till it was hard as hell, the waffles were crunchy hard, the sautéed mushrooms weren’t at all sautéed and the fruits and salad had too little variety. The only attractive food was the chocolate fondue that caught interest of many others. However, I would have preferred fruits rather than candy for the fondue.

Me and my pickness with food.

After our Morning nap, we walked over to KLCC, which was a 15 minute walk from our hotel. It’s a five Star Hotel called ‘The Renaissance’ with a big ‘R’ logo not to be missed!

KLCC – Morning View

KLCC – Night View

Don’t you love the view of the KLCC? Looks lovely huh? Too bad we weren’t able to go up there to eat at the restaurant. KL Tower/ something was also a recommended place to go to, to catch the sunset. I could also see it from the hotel.

KL Tower?

Do correct me if I’m wrong. I can be pretty lost and forgetful at names after holidays. Hehehe.

Shopping on that Saturday was kinda quiet with most Muslims at home doing preparations for Raya the next day… We shopped for hours, that we only ate 2 meals each day. Mum says we saved money. But in my opinion, we didn’t. In fact, we probably spent the most on food. We had Mexican food, Chinese Zhi Char, Western and oh, Korean food! Mmmmm~~

Nachos with cheese and filling

The yummiest salad ever! Smoked Salmon with fetta cheese, chickpeas and vegetables

Korean Food!

I must say, shopping in Malaysia during festive seasons has it’s perks and un-perks. One thing I enjoyed going there was to relax and think of nothing. Well, not really. Half my time I was worrying about work and thinking of the kids. Gah.

The trip to Malaysia was basically a shopping trip for my brother who would be starting work soon. I was kinda sad when mum told me on the second day that I had shopped enough. I was frustrated and angry… but then let it go. So instead of shopping with them, I played with the iPad. Because window shopping can really suck. Then I chanced upon the most coziest toilet ever. There was a reading/ resting area after entering the women’s toilet. WOW.

I can sit here all day with my iPad as companion

I didn’t dare sit down the first time I was in there, worried that I wouldn’t get up, and mum would probably be wondering where I was. Only the second time I was in there with my mum that I dared sit. It was so comfortable…

KLCC was packed with people outside enjoying the fountain. I daren’t go down there. I’d rather stay where I was, enjoying the view..

Fountain

Look at the amount of people crowding the entrance!

Nice view from Godiva.

And here’s a view from the Hotel room at the Twelfth floor.

Mini Houses around the Hotel

We’d always wake up at mid day. Love the Silhouette of the building.

It’s afternoon!

The torturous part was going home. Love it when the car goes fast. Hate Jams.

The start of the jam

The trip home took pretty long… We left at 9am, and only arrived in Singapore around 2ish. Slept at 3am and woke the same day to get to work. And I still had a truckload of energy that morning. AMAZING.

Well, that’s all folks!

Bumble Bee

It’s been such an eventful week at work and at home! I feel like a Bee! I’ve had so many uncompleted blog posts waiting to be published, but yet I just don’t have the time to finish them.

When I do, I’ll spam all of Facebook and Twitter. Hahahaha!

Dear Camera

FinePix Z

Where are you? You have mysteriously disappeared from my backpack since Wednesday, 15 August 2012. My birthday sumore. I last used you after PE lesson, placed you into my backpack before heading over to the K2’s for our meeting… I’ve searched my classroom thoroughly and couldn’t find you. You could be anywhere!

I wished you’d talk or even call out to me. I’m really sad. All the photos I’ve took during these past few days on my birthday dinners. 😦

Please come back soon.

Yours sincerely,

Your Owner, Trixie

Friday the 13th?

ROAR!!

What an eventful day. Today really felt like Friday the 13th. A series of bad luck. In order to vent out the emotional turmoil we’ve been through.. I shall write!

Today was a day to look forward to. It was our class excursion to the Science Centre! We were going to the Inventions Exhibit related to our theme on INVENTIONS! I even woke up at an insane hour at 4AM from all that excitement. And… … Just when we thought everything was going well, we arrive at the Science Centre to find out that it was … … CLOSED!!!

*SCREAMS!!

The shows to remind us that Life never goes the way you want it. Something to teach the kids.

Well, we went to Punggol Waterfront Park and boy was is Lovely! I was thankful to have parent volunteers direct the bus driver the way there, or we wouldn’t have be able to have our excursion.

We had a great time playing in the sand, duck duck goose, and Mr Wolf. Those the trip to the science centre was unsuccessful, the children enjoyed themselves greatly, and so did I. It definitely was worth every minute spent there even knowing the later consequences to come… The notice to Parents. :S

And.. just when my hands were kept busy with the kids, concern colleagues calls, hands full, phone slips, and… … …

* DOUBLE SCREAMS!!

Sighs.. It just isn’t my day… …

However, that night’s dinner with my girlfriend Liyin, did cheer me up. 🙂

Lazy Sunday

It’s the last day of my long weekend. So much to do in so little time. I decided to make a trip to the hair dresser today and get a Trim. Note: TRIM. But I ended up with all 8 inches gone. My heart aches for the time spent to grow that length. Yet, without the old leaving, the new won’t come.

I enjoyed having my hair to this length again. The stylist knew what was good for me, what I wanted and what I needed. She knew her stuff man. With almost half a year of NOT cutting my hair, I felt pretty anxious, nervous and excited at the same time. I’ll take a week to get used to my new hairstyle, so to everyone out there, please bear me with my “I think my hair is too short!” complains. God knows how many times I’ve repeated it to Dear Serena who never fails to assure me that it looks good.

Gah. Me and my self esteem issues!

Tell me what you think?

Close up shot.

Red, White

What an awesome time to spend my four day long weekend. Great! Thanks for coming Period. *sulk I’ve wasted TWO WHOLE DAYS of my long weekend because of you. 😦

Well, as least on the happier note, Happy 47th Birthday Singapore!

I love dressing in Red and White every year. Celebrating Singapore’s birthday also means celebrating MY BIRTHDAY! :DDD I am Thankful to have friends taking the initiatives to ask me out for dinner.

So if you have not, better go wipe that heart and find some conscience! 😛

I would love to do up a super awesome party to celebrate my birthday, but I just have no energy nor enthusiasm anymore. Well, not since I’ve… … Well, out of sight, out of mind! I won’t mind even if it’s just a simple dinner or perhaps an outing, whatever it is. I just want my friends and my family to keep me company on my birthday this year. Birthdays never fail to make me feel very lonely every year. I thought it may be different with … around. But… You never know what the future lies ahead. One moment you’re cool, the next? Let’s not go all sulky and miserable. We shall let the photos do the talking!

My Birthday Cake? 😛

Group Project done by my K1s! :3

Second round of Celebrations! It’s a slightly smaller version with the PM session. 🙂

It’s also Boss’s last day. *Sniff. I’ll miss her.

The last hug with Justine.

She had her reasons and wasn’t able to tell us why she was leaving. But I think I can somehow guess a lil, putting the puzzle pieces together. Sadness aside, I do hope that wherever you go, you remember us… It’s never Goodbye, but See you soon! Thank you for all that you’ve done to help the school’s growth, even mine. Though sometimes you drive us up the wall, but without it, we wouldn’t have achieved what we are today. I’m proud to have known you, learnt from you, and grow with you.

And to ensure that you do not forget us, we made you a little present! I hope you do hang it up in your new school! ❤

Handprints of Love

Books

Reading can be addictive. I spent my whole Sunday reading, reading and more reading. But when I stop reading, I stop. Now, it’s back to reality, back to work. I fell asleep, exhausted and whole up a few hours later bright and very much awake, thank you and working.

I’m killing my body clock.

And… I’m going back to bed. I can’t wait till I get up and continue reading.. though it kills my time.

Still, I love reading! 🙂

Unforeseen.

It must be God’s will.

To have to meet my ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend… My heart races as I try to compose myself. She does look really happy thou. It’s good news. For the both of them. 🙂

I wonder what will happen the rest of the day? Will we be friends or foes? … …

There are tonnes of unforeseen circumstances happening these days. It must be a challenge that I’d have to go through. BRING IT ON! I certainly most welcome it. :DDD

Toodies! I’m off to lunch!
